MONTREAL, QUÉBEC, January 26, 2017 – Medisys Health Group Inc. (“Medisys”) Canada’s only national provider of preventive and executive health services, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Tri Fit Incorporated (“Tri Fit”) accelerating Medisys’ pathway into a leadership position in Canadian corporate wellness.

“The addition of Tri Fit into the Medisys Corporate Health division strengthens our employee health and wellness offering and enables us to provide scalable, cost effective solutions that improve the health of employees at every level of the organization,” says Dr. Sheldon Elman, Founder and Executive Chairman of Medisys.

Founded by Sue Pridham and Veronica Marsden, Tri Fit has been delivering corporate fitness facility management and design services as well as workplace health and wellness programming to over 110,000 users across Canada since 1979. Tri Fit’s staff of over 140 fitness and wellness consultants, kinesiologists, ergonomic consultants, fitness instructors, and personal trainers will remain with Tri Fit, as will its senior management team.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients who have helped make Tri Fit what it is today,” says Sue Pridham, co-president of Tri Fit.  “We value your business tremendously.  I can assure you that you will continue to receive the same high quality and responsive service that you have come to know and expect.”

“With Medisys comes expanded benefits and opportunity for Tri Fit clients,” adds Veronica Marsden, Tri Fit’s other co-president. “We look forward to offering Tri Fit clients new and expanded wellness tools such as CarebookTM, an internet based employee health management and tracking system, Medisys physician health data audits, advanced biometric screening protocols and other services that Tri Fit clients have not previously received.”

Veronica Marsden and Sue Pridham will continue to drive business development of Tri Fit and support the day-to-day operations and client services of the business.

“With mounting evidence that healthier employees benefit the bottom line, Canadian companies are investing more in employee health and wellness programs. Our clients recognize that employee health issues are costly,” says Terry Power, CEO of Medisys Health Group.  “They demand corporate health solutions that not only enable them to assess and monitor the health of their employees, but to improve employee health over time in a way that produces measurable returns.”

The acquisition of Tri Fit will enable Medisys to complement its cutting edge preventive health assessment and monitoring programs with a broader portfolio of health improvement services, customized to meet the needs of employees at every level of an organization.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Tri Fit to our family,” adds Power. “We look forward to learning from the experience and knowledge of the Tri Fit team.”
