Marlene has a Specialized Honours Physical Education with a minor in Psychology BA degree, from York University. She was a member of York’s varsity gymnastics team that repeatedly won the OWIAA championships.
While raising a family of four active children, Marlene volunteered with Peel schools and Girl Guides of Canada acting as District Commissioner for five years. She has received awards from the Peel District School Board, Girl Guides of Canada, City of Mississauga and Province of Ontario, in recognition of over 20 years volunteer service.
She joined Tri Fit in April 2006 and with her proven organizational and project coordination skills quickly became our Office Manager. Previously, she held similar positions with the Ontario Gymnastic Federation and Unicity Tennis Club in Winnipeg.
Her strong interpersonal and communication skills are put to use as our liaison for our 50+ Tri Fit employees and over 100 contractor instructors. She is responsible for compensation and benefit administration as well as accounts receivable and payable.
Fitness and wellness are part of Marlene’s life. Instead of watching her four children at dance, soccer and skating, she now attends weekly classes in Yoga, Pilates and curling with them as adults. Cycling is a sport the entire family partakes in and this summer Marlene completed her first century ride.
